Psychic Children

When I was growing up there was not much information about mediums or psychics so it was very hard for my parents to understand what was happening to me, luckily my grandmother helped me with my spiritual journey and we spent many afternoons talking about ghosts and what I had seen, I was one of the lucky ones, as years on I have spoken to other people who were put on medication or kept very quiet about their gifts which have left complications in later life.

Nowadays almost every book shop has a mind, body and spirit section and many books cover psychic children, but even now children suffer bullying and ridicule from family and friends for being different, in some extreme cases they are put on Prozac which only makes things worse in the long term.

If your child says he or she sees or feels things around them its more than likely that they are picking up on energy or spirits, sometimes when you look over photos of your child you may see orbs or light around them this is normally a guide or relative looking after them.

Sensitive children absorb energy and often appear detached from people this is because they may pick up something about them and may decide they don't like what they feel, our children may tell us they don't like the room they sleep in or the person that you just met, it is a good idea to listen and talk to your child about these things and not sweep them under the carpet.

Pretend friends can sometimes be spirit, I had one for several years as I reached my teens she no longer came to speak to me, the spirit was a governess of the house and when I reached an age where she felt I no longer needed her care she disappeared, when my son was born years later she reappeared and was often seen by my mother when my son went to stay at the house.

If you feel you have a psychic child read as much as you can and talk to them and reassure your child about the process they are going through. It can be a frightening and a lonely journey when you see things others cannot and often these special children become very withdrawn, they are very creative and many grow up to be artists, mediums, healers, nurses or any profession where they can make a difference, so rather than sedating their gifts embrace it.
